New Issue of Bradley Magazine

The fall edition of Bradley magazine is out and here's what you'll find inside: 

We sat down with Interim President Jon Michael to talk about and his top priorities this year, as well as how the search for the next president is progressing.

Our and are making exciting research discoveries in the lab and out in the field. Both stories feature insects as a sustainable food source for animals and humans.

The five featured alumni this issue are leaving a lasting impact for future generations in very different ways.

has served as the resident engineer on Peoria’s McClugage bridge project since 2019. This herculean construction project, that has consumed much of his life the past five years, will ensure commuters can safely cross the Illinois River for the next 75 to 100 years.

When was looking to purchase a summer home several years ago, she didn’t just purchase a lake house—she bought a nearly century old light house in Fair Harbor, Ohio. Preserving this historic landmark and serving as its steward has been a lesson in perseverance, but she hopes her efforts will sustain it for the next century.

And when we asked rock photographer if he’d take photos of Consaul’s lighthouse for this issue, he jumped at the chance! Though he’s accustomed to shooting scenes at chaotic punk rock shows, he geeked out at this opportunity to capture something a bit more serene.

Recent Bradley grad, , created a $100,000 endowment named after his golf coach, Jeff Roche, to ensure opportunities for future students on the men’s golf team. He said Roche’s unwavering guidance and support made all the difference throughout his college journey at Bradley and he wants to pay it forward. 

And finally, , shared what it was like being an older student at Bradley. She was married with children when she was pursuing her bachelor’s degree so she had a completely different college experience from most undergrads at the time. Parks is still pursuing education opportunities at Bradley!
