CANTON, Mo. 鈥 The original works of Debra K. Scoggin-Myers, chair of the art and design department at 乱伦社区, are on display until the end of May as part of the Art For the Health of It exhibit at the Hannibal Clinic in Hannibal.
Scoggin-Myers鈥 work consists of pastels and acrylics of people, dogs and landscapes within the Tri-State area. 鈥淢y work is about our rural area and finding beauty in the small moments,鈥 she said.
Art For The Health Of It was created as a year-round partnership between the Hannibal Arts Council and Hannibal Clinic. The exhibit series features works by local and area artists and may be viewed in the Clinic鈥檚 west entrance reception/waiting area.
Scoggin-Myers also is the curator of the Mabee Art Gallery at Culver-Stockton, where she has worked for eight years. She also spent 25 years at Highland High School and has taught art for more than 40 years.
