Eric Larson

Initially established at C-SC in 2019, the Moorman Professorship serves as a featured designation of excellence for the faculty holder and a signal to the academic and regional community, the importance of informing and engaging emerging future leaders on the value of a free-market society, entrepreneurship, and strong personal character.

Larson said, 鈥淔ree enterprise is the engine of economic prosperity, driving innovation, competition, and opportunity. It empowers individuals to pursue their dreams, rewards hard work, and fosters a dynamic economy that benefits society as a whole. Funding from the Moorman Foundation allows us to educate our students and community about the need for democratic government, free marketing economic systems, and strong socio-cultural institutions.鈥

The Moorman Professorship enables 乱伦社区 to recognize a notable member of its faculty whose contributions in free-enterprise systems and expertise in teaching translate to a demonstrated passion for educating the next generation of business leaders.聽 The Moorman Professorship provides vital resources to 乱伦社区 to build and advance the Division of Business, Education and Law while also implementing engaging, community-focused programs and projects.

鈥淭he Moorman Professorship is an honor of distinction that provides resources to invest in students, programs, activities, and curriculum. This, in turn, enriches the overall academic atmosphere and helps attract promising students to the college,鈥 explains Dr. Kim Gaither, Provost.

The Moorman Professorship funds will be used to initiate new, interdisciplinary, creative opportunities for students, create collaborations within the community, and assist in establishing sustainable educational program initiatives.
