The event will feature Chad Pregracke from 鈥淟iving Lands and Waters鈥 as its keynote speaker and include roundtable discussions and presentations from business leaders, researchers, historians, and river enthusiasts. The conference agenda will also provide an optional excursion to Hannibal that provides for activities including but not limited to a river excursion, Mark Twain Cave tour, a time for connecting with the town鈥檚 rich river history.
The GRRC at C-SC connects the College to the tri-states through five areas of investment: community, students, mentorship, faculty, and outreach. Through community impact, learning opportunities, and research solutions, C-SC students and faculty members research current river concerns. The Changing Currents Conference is the first river conference the GRRC has hosted since its inception in 2021.
