Phi Alpha Theta is an American honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of history. The society has more than 400,000 members, with approximately 9,000 new members joining each year through 970 chapters nationwide.

New initiates were:

• Kenna Armstrong, a junior history education major from Oquawka, Ill.
• Jacob Burton, a sophomore history education major from St. Charles, Mo.
• Courtney Deeds, a senior theatre major from Fair Grove, Mo.
• Ahnna Matthews, a junior history major from Florissant, Mo.
• Gabriel Schneider, a sophomore history education major from Lake Sherwood, Mo.

New officers were:

• President Erica Lundt, a senior history and political science major from Oak Brook, Ill.
• Deeds, who was elected as vice president.
• Secretary Brandie Colbert, a senior history education major from Winfield, Mo.
• Schneider, who was elected as treasurer.
• Burton, who was elected as historian.

D’Ann Campbell, a professor of history, was the faculty advisor for this semester.
