Students and community members are invited to receive FAFSA assistance, regardless of which institution they or their students plan to attend. C-SC Financial Aid staff members will be conducting drop-in sessions to assist with filing the 2023-24 FAFSA. Any student planning to attend college must submit a FAFSA when requesting financial assistance and is therefore encouraged to attend a financial aid night.

An hour before the start of the November session, the Education Department will sponsor a financial literacy workshop allowing current C-SC students to receive ACE credit.

To best benefit from the filing sessions, guests planning to attend should bring several documents to file their FAFSA. Please bring the following information for both parent(s) and student:

  • 2021 taxes and W-2 forms

  • Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID usernames and passwords

  • Current balance of cash, savings, and checking

  • Net worth of investments

Guests are not required to register for this drop-in event and may come and go as their schedule allows. For any questions regarding this community event, please contact Patti Mathieson, Associate Director of Financial Aid, at pmathieson@culver.edu or by phone at 573-288-6000 x6465.

CANTON, Mo. — Representatives from Keep Me In College, a statewide student coalition, will be in the lobby of the Herrick Foundation Center on the ÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø campus from 8-10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18.

Students will receive free donuts and have the opportunity to learn about Keep Me In College, which is made up of students selected from each of Missouri’s independent, nonprofit colleges who are working to keep the Missouri legislature informed of the importance and the real-life impact of Missouri’s student aid programs.

Keep Me In College members have successfully fought to protect Access Missouri, a need-based program administered by the Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development that provides need-based financial aid to financially deserving students. Access Missouri provided assistance for 215 students at Culver-Stockton during the Fall 2019 semester.

Kar’Mel Brewer, a junior music education major from St. Louis, is Culver-Stockton’s student ambassador for Keep Me In College.

CANTON, Mo. — ÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø’s Office of Financial Aid is offering students help with their financial aid on Wednesday, Dec. 4 and on Wednesday, Jan. 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Room 208 in the Herrick Foundation Center.

Students and parents will receive assistance in filing their 2020-21 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) forms. They will need to bring with them their 2018 tax forms and W-2s, and their Federal Student Aid ID usernames and passwords. They also will need to know their current balances of cash, savings and checking, as well as the net worth of their investments.

Students are asked to contact the Office of Financial Aid if they plan to attend either meeting. This meeting is open to the public. Culver-Stockton’s priority filing deadline is February 1. Most financial assistance is given on a first-come-first-served basis to admitted students, so it is beneficial to file early to maximize what a student is awarded.

Go to culver.edu/value for more information about financial aid and scholarships available at Culver-Stockton or contact associate director of financial aid Patti Mathieson at 573-288-6465 or financialaid@culver.edu.
