CANTON, Mo. 鈥� Four 乱伦社区 students were given awards during the 55^th聽annual Originale area artist exhibit and competition, sponsored by the Hannibal Art Club.

In the non-professional division, Jordan Graves of Springfield, Ill., received the Pinnacle Award, donated by LaBinnah Bistro, for his pastel titled 鈥淕randpas Resting.鈥�

Excellence awards were given to Steven Walker of Palmyra, Mo., who won the Aaron Gregonis Award for his piece titled 鈥淔lower Boy,鈥� and to Nevin McNally of Quincy, Ill., who won the Law Firm of Dempsey & Dempsey Award for his piece titled, 鈥淕o It Alone.鈥�

A merit award was given to Keelie O鈥橞rien of Kahoka, Mo., who won the Nancy Beckner Memorial Award for her piece titled, 鈥淕old Goddess.鈥�

Shelley Campbell 鈥�74 received honorable mention for her piece titled, 鈥淒inner.鈥�

Debra K. Scoggin-Myers, chair of the art and design department at Culver-Stockton, received honorable mention in the professional division for her piece 鈥淧ond by Our House.鈥� Peggy L. Buchard-Ballard, an adjunct professor in art at C-SC, also received honorable mention for her piece, 鈥淣ightingales.鈥�

The Hannibal Art Club has all 112 original pieces of art created by 62 artists living within a 50-mile radius of Hannibal on display at the Hannibal Arts Council, 105 S. Main. Gallery hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
