Brown Performing Arts Center inside Merillat Chapel.

The storm spotter class will feature Kevin Deitsch, Warning Coordinator from the National Weather Service in St. Louis, presenting the course material. The class is expected to last about two hours. It is free and open to the public.

Upon course completion, participants may become registered storm spotters by registering with the National Weather Service. Attendees are invited to view the presentation and become more familiar with severe storms, how to recognize them, and the appropriate precautions to follow. Attendees should bring their own supplies for taking notes. CANTON, Mo. — A storm spotter class will be offered at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17 in the Alexander Campbell Auditorium in the Robert W. Brown Performing Arts Center on the ÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø campus.

Kevin Deitsch, the warning coordinator from the National Weather Service in St. Louis, will be presenting the course material. The class is expected to last about two hours. It is free and open to the public.

After completing the course, participants may elect to become registered storm spotters by signing up with the National Weather Service.  Others may want to just view the presentation and become more familiar with severe storms, how to recognize them and the appropriate precautions to follow.  Attendees should bring a pencil or pen and something to write on.
